Urban Comedy Review

Editorial policy

Urban Comedy Review aims to explain comic craft accurately, show its reasoning and make clear when a piece is interpretation rather than settled fact.

Accuracy and independence

We check factual details against suitable sources and review the wording for unsupported certainty. Analysis of comic effect is an argument, not a measurement of every reader's response; we make that distinction clear. Editorial decisions are made for reader value, not to meet a partner's preferences.

Corrections

If you spot an error, contact us through the Contact page and identify the article and detail. We assess correction requests, make warranted changes and clarify significant corrections in the article so readers can see what changed.

Partnerships and paid material

Paid collaborations and partner placements are identified clearly wherever they appear. Partners do not receive control of independent editorial coverage, and a commercial relationship does not turn a claim into an editorial conclusion.

Illustrations

Some illustrations may be generated with AI. We use them as illustrations, not as evidence, and aim not to present generated imagery as a documentary image of a real event or person.

Our point of view

A laugh has a working shape.

Urban Comedy Review looks at the choices beneath comic effect: what a line sets up, what a character misses and when a scene changes direction.
